About me!

Hey all! I am just a busy single mama who loves to cook. I have been an avid cook and novice baker since I was a child. I've been lucky enough to come from a family full of good cooks, and have been able to take the basics I learned and really come into my own as I grew up. I hope to one day be as good of a baker as my grandma. I still have an issue with my darn cookies going flat, though! :) 
I have a 2.5 year old son, and his palate has been a challenge. He loves salad, kale, and veggies dipped in ranch, but hates corn, green beans, and almost all fruit. He'll even eat meat with no complaints; my little starch and protein boy... lol I was a VERY picky eater growing up, but once I stared to cook for myself, I got a little more adventurous, though there is still much I won't touch. I'm all about hiding things in food now, like veggies, so that I know he's getting the proper nutrients.
I am also a confessed PINAHOLIC. I am totally ok with admitting I have a problem. If you are also on Pinterest, I'm sure you see a bunch of recipes that look amazing and wonder if they actually are. That is why I started this blog. I have been pinning recipes (roughly 500 of them... And counting.... lol) for a long time, and I have gotten some really good and really bad results. 
I'm not going to go out of my way to make every single thing that I have ever pinned, but I am going to let you know how each one I do turns out. I will post as many of my original pictures as I can, but I won't be able to for the stuff I backlog. I'll try to write in as many tips and be as objective as I can so that you can implement my findings into your cooking. 
One thing to know is that I'm pretty into organics and against processed foods. I do try to change up recipes that have cream of ____ soups, or packets of seasonings and make my own. I usually only have time for that on the weekends, though. I am NOT into the weight watchers fake food fad. If I am making something, I almost always use the full fat kind, or butter, or whatever. I will NEVER use margarine-no thank you! I'd rather eat in moderation than stuff myself with chemicals.
